The rainbow stag beetle ( Phalacrognathus muelleri ) is one of the most spectacular and sought-after species in the beetle world. Native to northern Queensland, Australia, and New Guinea , but bred in Spain, this beetle is noted for its incredible metallic iridescence, with shades ranging from green, red, blue, and purple , depending on the light.
