🌸 The Hymenopus coronatus , known as the orchid mantis, is one of the most spectacular and sought-after species in the invertebrate world. Native to Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Burma, and Sumatra), this natural gem is bred in Spain under controlled conditions, ensuring strong, well-adapted specimens.
Their floral camouflage is not only visually stunning, but also a perfect evolutionary strategy for ambushing their prey. As adults, the female grows to 7 cm and develops bright colors that mimic petals, while the smaller and more agile male measures about 2.5 cm.
🌡️ Ideal temperature: 22 °C – 28 °C
💧 Relative humidity: ~70%
