🦆 The Cubaris sp. "Rubber Ducky" is, without a doubt, one of the most iconic and sought-after isopods among collectors around the world. Its unmistakable appearance, with that yellow "face" reminiscent of a rubber ducky, has made it a true celebrity within the hobby. Its rarity, beauty, and unique appearance make it a key piece in any serious isopod collection.
Despite its exotic appearance, it adapts well to captive maintenance as long as its needs are respected. It requires a humid, well-ventilated environment, with shelter areas and a relative humidity of around 80–90%. The ideal temperature is between 24 and 27°C. It is important to provide it with a suitable substrate, decomposing plant matter, and a varied diet or food specific for isopods.
Although its use is primarily as a pet, it can also act as a decomposer in bioactive terrariums, although due to its value and rarity it is not usually used for that purpose.
Perfect for hobbyists looking for a living gem in their collection. 💎
