How does the day/night thermostat work?

The day/night thermostat has two sockets: you connect a light source to one and a heat source that gives off no light to the other. You tell it when the day starts and when the night starts, and what temperature you want in each period. By day it switches on the light and maintains the daytime temperature; at night it switches off the light and maintains the night-time temperature. Once set up, there is nothing else to adjust.

What is the advantage of dimming control?

Unlike other thermostats, the dimming thermostat regulates the power it sends to the heat source instead of switching it abruptly on and off. The result is much more precise temperature control, greater energy savings and a longer lifespan for the heat source.
