🌳 The Lamponius guerini is a stunning stick insect native to Guadeloupe and bred in captivity in Spain. Its ability to blend in with dead branches makes it a true camouflage expert, perfect for both beginners and collectors looking for a peaceful and fascinating species.
From birth as a nymph (L1) through its five molts to reach the adult stage (L6) in approximately 5 months, this phasmid is notable for its resilience and ease of maintenance, with a life expectancy of up to 12 months in the adult stage. As adults, males reach about 7 cm and females about 9 cm, and come in various shades of brown. Curiously, their color darkens slightly at dusk.
It requires a terrarium twice its length in width and three times its height, maintaining a constant humidity of 75%. Its diet is based on bramble and rose leaves, making it easy to feed year-round.
A curious and resistant insect, perfect to start or expand your collection of phasmids.
